PSS Minna

Police Secondary School Minna was founded as a co-educational institution by the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in 1992. The school opened its gates to the initial 176 students on July 2nd 1992 under the administrative leadership of DSP Friday Agamah as the pioneer Commandant. He was assisted by Mr. F.C Lodong as the Vice-Principal Administration. A total of 25 teachers and 15 policemen were posted to the school to take care of the pioneer students.

Expectedly, the school has witnessed an astronomical rise in its enrollment in the coming years which called for immediate expansion in classrooms and hostel accommodations.

The school places high premium also on recreation and co-curricular activities as ways of ensuring all-round development of the individual. As a result, it has at its disposal quality sporting facilities which explains its high performance in football, basketball and other sporting activities over the years.

The giants strides recorded by the school in the last few years can be attributed to the efforts of the Commandant, officers and staff of the school. The school is well equipped with boarding facilities and as a matter of policy, all its students are resident for effective learning.
